Daymond Patterson
Founder and Trainer
Daymond founded Raw Power Sports in 1996. His inspiration was while coaching; he was approached many times by kids wanting to be better athletes but not knowing proper training and techniques.
Daymond played high school and college sports. In high school he played basketball, football, and track earning all city and all state honors in basketball. In college, he played point guard for Independence Community College (ICC) and later Washburn University.
Daymond has been coaching in the DFW area since 1995. Prior to moving to the DFW area, he coached high school basketball in Topeka, KS for four years. He coached both his sons in youth football, baseball and basketball. He also coached and trained several high school athletes that have gone on to earn college scholarships, which include Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, UTEP, New Mexico State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Arizona, Duke, and Rice; some of which have gone on to earn high school and college All-American status. Alumni, Tarell Brown is currently defensive back for the San Francisco 49ers.
Daymond serves as a trainer and receiver coach for the state NIKE testing combines and elite football camps.

Reggie Fish
Co-Founder and Trainer
Reggie joined Raw Power Sports in 2001. His desire to collaborate with Daymond was after his son joined the Raw Power Sports Program. His inspiration was to give back to youths and the community through his experience and knowledge.
Reggie's sophomore year as a high school football player, he was a varsity starter earning all district and all city honors. Reggie's junior year, he earned Most Outstanding Athlete of the Year while playing football, basketball, baseball, and track. Reggie's senior year, he lead his football team to the 1976 state championship, and it was the last championship the school has won. From there, he earned a scholarship at the University of Missouri and later transferred to Oklahoma State University. Reggie played under Coach Jim Stanley and Coach Jimmy Johnson. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Business in 1991.
Reggie coached track for four years with the Mesquite Elite Track club, of which he lead the 4x100 relay team to third in the nation. He also coach several youth football, baseball, and basketball teams in the Mesquite area. Additionally, he coached at his church ministry at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship youth basketball for two years.
Reggie has coached several high school athletes that have gone on to earn college scholarships, which include Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, New Mexico State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Arizona, Duke, and Rice; some of which have gone on to earn high school and college All-American status. Derrice Randle
Trainer
Derrice joined Raw Power Sports in 2005. His desire to teach and motivate youths is what inspired him to join Daymond Patterson and the Raw Power Sports program.
Derrice attended Yates High School in Houston, TX playing football, basketball, baseball, and track. He earned a football scholarship to Southern Methodist University as a special teams player. Derrice was a starting deep snapper and played corner back and safety on defense.
Derrice is entering his seventh year of teaching in the Mesquite Independent School District, of which he coached football, basketball and track on the seventh and eighth grade level.
Derrice was in charge of the Fellow Christian Athletes Program (FCA) at Vanston Middle School. Since joining Raw Power Sports, he has been a valued addition to the program, providing guidance and knowledge in several areas of the program.

Mary Lavendar
Trainer & Fitness
Mary has been involved in athletic training for the past ten years. She is also the owner of Fitness911, which specializes in contest preparation as well as fitness boot camps. Mary received her training certifications from the Cooper Institute in Personal Training, Biomechanics, and Nutrition. Mary currently trains incoming recruits for Defense Tractics Training for the Dallas Police Department, as well as received her certifications in PPCT and certification through the FBI school.
Growing up in Pennsylvania as well as Iowa, Mary participated in track where she was a standout capturing serveral regional titles in AAU. She later went on to run track for the University of Northern Iowa.
Mary is also a Fitness competitor in the NPC and has competed across the United States.
She has been involved with Raw Power Sports for two years directing on field conditioning as well as major core body programs. Her involvement will now include our speed and agility program, nutrition and fitness program, and lead our Adult Boot Camp. Mary's vast years of knowledge and experience have proven to be very beneificial to our success.
